Small Group, Big Steps

This is Chris and I's Journey Small Group, well missing a few folks. Zan is behind the camera, Shanae went home to prepare snacks, and the Barnett's were home resting, and the Christian's were gone!

Last night we began our small group serving project. Bi-monthly we will be serving with Community Action to help a six apartment complex with landscaping. However, our real goal is to meet the folks that live in the community and build relationships. We are all excited about this incredible opportunity to serve.

New toy

Chris and Bryan set up a new outside toy for the kids. The girls love the tire swing. Here they are playing together. It has been such a blessing to see these sweet girls grow in their friendship. They love and care for each other so much.

Swimming!

A couple weeks ago Kennedy got to go swimming! She had a blast. She did not want to get out of the water! Papa we can't wait to get to the pool in Florida!

Heating up the kitchen

One of my favorite things, is to have Kennedy help me cook dinner! A couple nights ago we made pizza and daddy captured a picture of us cooking!

Duck Pond

On Sundays, Kennedy and Daddy have dates, since mommy is at work. A couple weeks ago, Chris took Kennedy to the Duck Pond to feed the ducks. He said she was fearless!

He said he had to stop her from walking right into the water to feed them!

I took this picture from my friend Lisa. It is a great picture of all the kids playing after the Journey East first Softball game! That they won! Since then they have lost a couple and won a couple! But last night Chris hit 2 in the park home runs! Way to go Chris! It was really cute, everyone was cheering " Go Chris!" and then Kennedy started to cheer "Go Chris" too. It was soooooo cute!
