Dr. Visit

Kennedy had her 2 year check up today! Dr. Stacy said she is health and smart. Kennedy brought her Dr. set into show Dr. Stacy. She was very impressed with Kennedy. Kennedy got a snack and a my little pony sticker after they pricked her finger to check her iron level. Which by the way was great! However, Kennedy was not as excited for the princess sticker she got on her leg after her shot. One only shot today though!

Kennedy is now 23 lbs and 33inches tall!

And her head is still in the 80%!

Horse...Naaaaah

Kennedy loves looking at the horse out the window on 48th street. So when we where invited to go take Kennedy to the stables with Big Mike and Aunt Amy, Kennedy was thrilled. She got to pet the horses, see baby horses and even a couple cows. Mr. Gene took Mommy and Kennedy out on the gator to pet the baby horses. We really had a great evening. Daddy even got to ride a horse with Big Mike. Kennedy was not ready to sit on the horse, but maybe on our next trip she will brave it.

Happy Birthday Kennedy

Yesterday was Kennedy's actual birthday. Chris and I spent most of our time yesterday setting up all Kennedy's new presents. I also rearranged Kennedy's room to make space for all of Kennedy's new toys. She is on cloud nine with all of her new things. The Dora Vanity is up and the Dora Bike is put together. I am proud to say that I put the Dora Bike together myself! We will see if she is able to actually ride it tonight. We might need Daddy to tighten everything up.

Everything that Kennedy got has been a huge hit. I think she was ready for some big girl toys! Thank you all for showering her with gifts. 

Kennedy is 2!

Saturday Kennedy celebrated her birthday with Family and Friends.

Papa and Susu hosted the party at their house. The kids had an great time on moonbouces.

 Susu and Papa got Kennedy her very own moonbounce. And Grandma and PeePaw got her an awesome new car and dollhouse. Needless to say she got spoiled for grandparents and her good friends. Thank you to all our friends that came and shared in her special birthday celebration. We pray that Kennedy would continue to grow into an amazing little girl over the year to come. Please join us in praying for our princess. We love you all. 

Yesterday was a beautiful day,so we headed over to Mike and Amy Hobson's house so the guys could play tennis and the girls could take a walk and head over to the park. Kennedy had a great time with their dog Penny and really enjoyed playing at their park. Thanks Mike and Amy for a fun afternoon!

Dirty Laundry & Toothpaste

The other day as I was doing some house work, I heard Kennedy huffing and puffing in the closet. As I entered the closet, I found that she had pulled dirty laundry from the basket and had gone to lay down with some toothpaste. Seriously???What else can I say!

Birthday Party Countdown

The days are ticking down to Kennedy's 2nd Birthday!!!! I can't believe Chris and I are going to have a 2 year old. That is crazy. It has gone by soooooo fast. But we have enjoyed every minute of being parents. We count it a blessing that God gave this incredible job!

Sprinkler Fun!

Yesterday as I was working in the yard with Kennedy, our neighbors sprinklers started. Kennedy gave me the look that she wanted to go play in them. When I say yes, she ran toward the sprinklers and began having a ball. It was not until the sprinklers shut down, that she finally slowed down. Needless to say we are excited about warm weather!

Favorite Shoes

This morning while I was cleaning out Kennedy's closet, she found her favorite cherry print Vans that I was trying to sneak out, because they are too small. Well you would have thought she was one of Cinderellas step sisters when she discovered the shoes, she huffed and puffed trying to fit the shoes on. She begged me to put them on. When she realized that they were not going to get on her feet, she surrendered with dignity! She then found new shoes to sport around the house in her diaper!

Last Saturday Chris and Bryan braved taking the girls out for a round of golf. It was really windy, but it did not slow these girls down.

Zoo Trip with Grandma

Well Friday Grandma, Kennedy and I headed to the zoo. It was a beautiful day and Kennedy had a blast. She knows so many animals and we even learned a few new ones while we were there! We ran into lots of friends up there, I think the beautiful weather brought everyone out, except some of the animals. Most of the animals were sleeping in the shade. But we really enjoyed our time!

Baking with Papa!

This weekend Papa Steve was in town. On Sunday Papa and Kennedy baked some yummy cookies! She is a great little helper!

Thursday afternoon Kennedy headed over to the Waldenville's to play with the kids after school. The girls (Kennedy and Blakely) asked Aunt Zan if they could have a bubble bath. Zan sent the following pictures! She said they has a blast!
