Sooooo Proud

This morning, as I was packing Kennedy's lunch, I called out to her to meet me in the bathroom to get dressed and go potty. When she did not come, I walked into her room and said come on Kennedy, we need to get ready, This is what I saw.......
She looked up at me and said "Mommy, I'm reading my bible." I was sooooo proud. I sat down and talked to her about what she was reading. It was so perfect.
Every night we read her Bible, but this is the first time she has sat down on her own to read!! Praise Jesus!

Big Changes for such a little Girl!

If is official Kennedy is 97% Potty Trained! We have only had a couple hiccups in the last week! But she is doing an amazing job. Her and Blakely have been working very hard. You should see them over at the Waldenville's, Kennedy on the big potty at the same time Blake is on the little potty. They sit there and talk to each other. It is soooo cute. The worst was potty training on vacation. Airport potty's are yucky, but the potty topper and the Lysol did wonders!
Also, this afternoon Chris and I began a hunt for Kennedy's big girl bed. I feel like my little princess is growing up way too fast. Pretty soon our little girl will be out of the crib and in a big bed. Most of her friends made this big change months ago. But I think she is ready for the change.

My 2 Favorite people

Chris and Kennedy are my favorite people in the whole world. I think I see Christ's love for me, through the way Chris and Kennedy love one another. They have such a pure and sweet love for each other. Every time Chris gets Kennedy giggling, I have to stop and just take in the sweetness of the way he has a special affect over her!
"These things command and teach. Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity." 1 Timothy 4:11-12
Lord thank you that Chris is an amazing example of Christ love to Kennedy and I!
Lord thank you for the ways you reveal yourself daily through my sweet princess Kennedy!

Building

Kennedy and I built a castle today. I thought it was cute that her dress matched the building blocks.
Things that Kennedy is doing right now....
1. Saying "What's that noise?" to every little sound.
2. Taking care of her dolly
3. Swimming! The girl is a fish, she wants to swim everyday
4. Potty Training- I keep praying for patience in this area
5. Singing- She loves to sing!
6. Dancing- She has some serious moves!
7. Talking up a storm, everyone comments on how well she can speak. Chris says she learns 20 new words a day!
8. Dressing up like a princess

Small Group, Big Steps

This is Chris and I's Journey Small Group, well missing a few folks. Zan is behind the camera, Shanae went home to prepare snacks, and the Barnett's were home resting, and the Christian's were gone!
Last night we began our small group serving project. Bi-monthly we will be serving with Community Action to help a six apartment complex with landscaping. However, our real goal is to meet the folks that live in the community and build relationships. We are all excited about this incredible opportunity to serve.
